The Tripartite Meeting to Consider Increasing the Minimum Wage, Louh
Minister of Labour, Social Security and Employment, Tayeb Louh, said on Sunday that the upcoming tripartit meeting is due to evoke the issue of increasing the minimum guaranteed wage, in conformity with President Abdelaziz Bouteflika’s directives.

At the margin of the visit he conducte to the coastal province of Tipaza, Mr Tayeb Louh said his department work on increasing the minimum guaranteed wage to more than 15 000 DZD as to reinforce the purchase power of workers amid the staple food soaring prices.
The government is due to connsult social partners, including employers association and the Central Trade Union (UGTA) to consider increasing the SMIG taking into consideration the current situation of the country.
