The Visit To Algeria Was Not Included In Gianni Infantino’s Agenda

FIFA President Gianni Infantino’s visit to Algeria at the beginning of next week was postponed to a later date as indicated by the FAF, and was not programmed in his agenda, reliable sources from FIFA told Echorouk.

The same sources indicated that Infantino is currently on a tour to several African countries, but Algeria is not on his agenda, as he started his tour from Mauritania last Tuesday, where he inaugurated some facilities and attended several matches for the U-20 Africa Cup of Nations, knowing that the national team for this category failed In obtaining the qualifying visa after his disappointing participation in the North African Union matches in Tunisia that was eligible for this session.

The Algerian Football Federation announced in a first statement, last Monday evening, on its official website, that Infantino will visit Algeria on February 21 and 22, before retreating the next day through a new statement, in which it indicated the postponement of the FIFA president’s visit to Algeria for a later date for special reasons.

The FAF did not provide convincing reasons for Gianni Infantino’s postponement of his visit to Algeria, as it claimed for the first time, which reinforces the approach that the FIFA did not program any visit by its president to Algeria at present, and highlights the failed propaganda method of the federation that tried to delude public authorities and public opinion that are viewed as a difficult equation, and they can challenge the Ministry of Youth and Sports, pass its projects, amend the basic laws of the FAF and adapt them to FIFA laws at any time they like, before the next general election, despite the refusal of the ministry that issued an instruction to all sports federations to postpone the adaptation of its laws until after the electoral general assemblies, because it thought that it would rest on a fortified wall of support from the president of the FIFA, Gianni Infantino, and tried to push him into its internal conflict.

On the other hand, sources familiar with the FIFA affairs indicated that the tour that Gianni Infantino is making to some African countries and in the light of which he will meet with the heads of their countries is not innocent, and it is part of his plans to implement the new map drawn up by the Confederation of African Football, which is coming to crucial elections to elect the successor to the current Malagacy president who is unwanted by FIFA, Ahmad Ahmad.

Echorouk sources added that the Swiss, Gianni Infantino, supports the South African candidate, Patrice Motsepe, President of the Mamelodi Sundowns Club, and is trying hard to influence the African countries to vote on his preferred candidate, noting that the struggle for the chair of the CAF building in Cairo is confined between two camps, the first camp is made up of the Senegalese, Senghor Augustan and Ivorian Jacques Anouma, and the opposite side is South African Patrice Motsepe and Mauritanian Ahmed Yahya.
