The World Bank Experts criticize the weak budget of searches and researchers’ numbers in Algeria

Experts and specialists who participated in the workshop on the “ Economy-based on knowledge”, described the results of the scientific research results which are used in Algeria since 2000 as very weak, stressing that the allocation of 1% of the domestic product of the scientific research, and not enough to build a national strategy of the scientific research.

• The economist, Mostafa Mkidech, said in his commenting on the detailed presentation made by the Minister Delegate for the Scientific Research, Souad Ben Djabellah, who presenred the two five-years’ plans for the scientific research, that the real problem facing the economic sectors’ growth based on the knowledge is due to the absence of a strong request of these sectors’  products, in addition to Algeria’s luck of technology accumulation during the past years.
