These Are The Prices Of Importing Less Than 3 Years Old Used Cars

The National Company for Maritime Transport is preparing to launch attractive discounts for the transport of imported cars less than 3 years old starting from next January through the ports of Europe.

The cost per vehicle will be equivalent to 372 Euros (DZD 44000 ), a procedure which is contained in the Finance Act of 2020 that is currently at the level of the National Assembly, which allows the import of used cars less than 3 years old.

In detail, Major Kamal Yasaad, Regional Representative of the National Company for Maritime Transport for Travelers to Europe, revealed in an interview with Echorouk in his office in Marseille that all preparations are ready at the level of the National Company for Maritime Travelers for the transport of imported vehicles less than 3 years old, adding that attractive discounts will be applied in order to enable citizens to ship their cars in a comfortable manner, without hindrance and all operations will be applied in accordance with the laws and legislation.

Regarding the approved prices for transporting vehicles less than 3 years old, the regional representative of the National Company for Maritime Transport to Europe said that the cost of shipping a single vehicle from the port of Marseille or the port of Spain is estimated at 372 euros (44 thousand Algerian dinars), but the new procedure is that citizens who want to import used cars must have a foreign exchange account to finance their imports, ie the purchase of vehicles is done through official channels, ie through banks.

Regarding the type of customers who will import cars less than 3 years old, Kamal Yasaad, said that according to the preliminary information which is available at the regional office of the National Company for Maritime Travelers to Europe, it is related to the same customers who are active in the field of importing new cars because they know the hidden operations and relations that link them to the workers in the field.

On the other hand, with the help of some parties, Echorouk asked some questions to a number of importers of new cars in Marseille, like “R.Riad”, who said he is active in the field of importing new “Peugeot” cars, and that the prices of imported cars less than three years old from Europe will cost per capita or a citizen if the law will be approved, will cost more than 300 million centimes for a normal car and may reach 400 million in some cases, such as the Peugeot 308, for example, which does not exceed 250 million in the Algerian market for the new car numbered 2019.

“Cars less than three years remain with high prices in the European markets to begin to decline after five years after the purchase in return for the high value-added tax, which will be estimated at 20% from 2020 and the customs duties and the price of transporting the vehicle to Algeria if it is calculated that the price of the car in Europe reaches at least 10,000 euros, which is equal to or more than 200 million Algerian centimes, plus 30% of customs duties, transportation expenses, and the value-added tax, so the price will exceed 350 million centimes.
