Time has come for the departure of some managers: Former chairman of Algerian Olympic Committee
The former president of the Algerian Olympic Committee Mustapha Berraf has indicated that the performances of the Algerian athletes during the last Arab Games in Doha, Qatar, was catastrophic and unacceptable.
-
Talking at “Echouorouk Forum”, M Berraf has stressed the necessity to “turn” the page and think over immediate solutions with the view to rehabilitating the Algerian sport sector and retrieve its glorious past.
-
-
The former chairman has mentioned the absence of a strategy that values the performances of the athletes of the elite as well as the migration of the Algerian mangers toward foreign countries seeking better opportunities.
-
-
M Berraf has blamed some top managers at the sports ministry and accused them of being responsible for this collapse. He summoned them to leave and give the chance for the younger generation.
-
-
He has made it clear that he was not targeting the minister, who is a politician, but the managers who failed short in their missions. Berraf has asserted that those managers were the main cause behind this unprecedented setback.
