Tunisian travel agency swindles Algerians in Annaba
Security services of the province of Annaba (eastern Algeria) have launched a thorough inquiry into the shady activities of a Tunisian travel agency operating illegally in Algeria and more specifically in the eastern regions of the country, reliable sources revealed.

The investigation started following several complaints lodged by Algerian citizens in the province of Annaba and its suburbs who were swindled by the Agency’s managers. The Tunisian travel agency was not granted permission by the relevant ministry to operate on Algerian soil, the same sources added.

The agency opened a branch in Annaba and proceeded to the employment of tourist guides from the same town who were assigned the task of attracting clients promising them high-grade services in a notorious Tunisian hotel with astounding prices

In return, the customers were asked to sign contracts affording them to spend a whole week per year over a period of 30 years, providing that they will not back down after 10 days to the sealing of the deal between the two sides.

By using this stratagem, the swindlers stripped their victims of some 10 billion Algerian Dinars without fulfilling their promise. This damaging situation prompted many of them to lodge a formal complaint with the Tunisian embassy and the Algerian authorities alike.
