UK Ambassador: Partnership With Echorouk Boosted UK, Algeria Relations

Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Algeria, Martyn Roper, said the UK Embassy will pursue boosting the process of teaching and learning English in Algeria, amid increasing interest of Algerians on this global spoken language.

Mr Roper and Echorouk’s advisor, Ali Draa, have both supervised Wednesday the ceremony of the attribution of prizes to the winners in the British Council language contest organized in partnership with Echorouk.

The UK Ambassador has praised the close relationship with Echorouk, in terms of English language learning, saying it contributed in reinforcing bilateral relations between UK and Algeria.

Echourouk’s advisor Ali Draa hailed efforts being made by the UK Embassy in Algeria in the domain of training, and “We have discovered in English an opportunity to work with the UK Embassy for the benefit of both countries.”

As for the contest laureates, Soraya Aliouche from Algiers was attributed a two-week trip to the UK to learn English in a school that is accredited by the British Council. Mr Attia Rouabah won a laptop, while Zohra Tounsi from Bouira won a digital camera.
