Umrah and Hajj 2013: Exclusion of pilgrims who suffer chronic diseases
The National Office for the Hajj and Umrah proposed enabling each of the winning candidates in the draw for the pilgrimage season 2013, to perform the rituals, and the exclusion of pilgrims with chronic diseases, as well as those who performed rituals during the past five years of the process, in the framework of allowing those who did not perform of rituals, Sheikh Barbera, Director General of the National Office for the Hajj and Umrah, told Echorouk.
“I gave proposals at the meeting of the of office administration that was held to reach a solution”.
Barbera threw the ball in the court of the Interior Ministry, saying it will be responsible for determining the method of selecting the pilgrims, who will be able to perform Hajj during the current season, after reducing the share of Algeria, along the lines of 72 countries to 28800 visas.
Moreover, travel agencies charged with framing the Umrah season for the holy month of Ramadan, complained of the work of the approval system on visas, which is adopted by the Saudi Ministry of Hajj, which is working with the system of “distillation” in the granting of visas since last week, demanding the intervention of the first responsible for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, at the level of Saudis dealers to return the funds which they obtained from agencies within the framework of renting the buildings.
