Unidentified Gunmen in France Assassinate An Algerian Youth Hailing From Khenchela

On Monday night, an Algerian youth was shot dead during an assassination operation carried out by unknown gunmen at the level of a by-road, in the Lorac district in the city of Besancon, in France.

The body of the young Algerian was transferred to the Department of Preservation of Corpses, at the city Hospital, and the local French police began investigations into the heinous murder, with all the entrances and exits of the area being sealed off in search of the vile perpetrators.

Echorouk’s sources indicated that the 23-year-old young man, Hakar Hocine, hailed from the city of Khenchela, eastern Algeria.

The victim was a single, who has been staying with his family members in a legal way in France for years, as they have been visiting Algeria, specifically his mother’s birthplace, namely Béchar, during every summer vacation, our sources added.

He was surprised on Monday night to Tuesday, as he was about to enter his residential neighborhood, in Lorak district, in the heart of the city of Besancon, as usual and to join his family residence.

His cowardly murderers fled towards an unknown destination after the ill-fated shooting.

The victim’s body was taken to hospital, and the French police, as usual, opened an investigation into the new assassination, with an old series, and this raised great question marks about the reality of these successive assassinations, which specifically target the sons of Khenchela, calling on the Algerian authorities to intervene urgently, and take deterrent measures in this appalling case as 23 Algerian nationals have been murdered in France since 2018.
