VP of the EFF Hani Abou Rida exclusively to Echorouk: “I support the Qatari initiative of reconciliation between Zaher and Raouraouaâ€
Vice president of the Egyptian Football Federation and executive member of the FIFA, Hani Abou Rida, told Echorouk, in phone conversation from Cairo that he supports the initiative of reconciliation launched by the Head of Asian Football Federation, Mohamed Ben Hammam, between the heads of EFF, Samer Zaher and AFF, Mohamed Raouraoua, in order to put an end to the impasse and apathy that characterize the relations between both countries since the 12th November 2009, date of the Egyptian attacks on the Desert Warriors bus in Cairo.
Several Egyptian news sources spoke earlier about Abu Rida’s wish to achieve reconciliation with Mohamed Raouraoua, in an attempt to exploit the close relations to lift the “Code” of controversy between the Algerian and Egyptian federations. However, all his attempts failed, because Samer Zaher refused to apologize and Raouraoua’s condition was apology to accept reconciliation, thing which pushed Mohamed Bin Hammam to rush in activating this issue.
Abou Rida is also the only Egyptian official person which has no problems with Raouraoua who kept in contact with him by virtue of the good relationshipbetween them, especially as Abu Rida was the only one who spoke to the AFF after the attacks on the Algerian team’s bus in Cairo.
Abu Rida: “I talked to Zaher…and I’ll call Raouraoua as soon as possible”
Furthermore, Abou Rida said that he talked to Samer Zaher and will call Mohamed Raouraoua in order to prepare for reconciliation, which means that Bin Hammah have asked him to do that task by virtue of their good relationships.
“I wish reconciliation will be realized on Qatar”, Abou Rida said.
