Zineddine Zidane on a private visit to the Algerian South together with his parents, his wife and his 3 children.

The former mega star of the France football squad of Algerian origin Zineddine Zidane, has been since last Sunday on a tourist visit in the bewitching locality of Djanet in the Algerian deep South together with his 2 parents, his wife and his 3 children at the invitation of the President of the Republic Abdellaziz Bouteflika.  

• The best football player in the world received a very warm welcome on his arrival of the Tissika airport of Djanet from the local authorities headed by the Wali or Governor of Illizi province and other elected municipal officials.
• Just after his arrival at the airport coming on board a presidential plane from the capital Algiers, the illustrious guest of Algeria was driven to a state residence in the centre of the locality of Djanet under a stringent security escort away from the media scrutiny.
• Zineddine Zidane seized the opportunity of his stay in Djanet to go on a sight-seeing tour of the region by visiting notably, the imposing Tassili Mountains and other world renowned tourist sites like the Ghrara, Tamaghas, Takebioune and Taghrarat.
• Enthralled by the beauty of these gorgeous sites, Zineddine Zidane said that he was envisaging to pay another visit to this fabulous part of southern Algeria as early as next spring.
•  It should be noted that Zineddine Zidane has recently offered, through his welfare organization, 21 computers and various sporting equipment to the municipalities of Djanet and Bordj Si El Haouas for the benefit of the needy youngsters of the region.
• Zineddine Zidane pledged on this occasion that he would dispatch very soon other aid packages to several sporting associations established in the southern Illizi province.
