Algeria set to build 3 Billion Dollar-Worth Oil Refinery

Minister of energy and mines, Youcef Yousfi, has announced that Algeria has started setting up a USD 3 billion-worth oil refinery in Biskra, south-east of the capital Algiers.
- Minister of energy and mines, Youcef Yousfi, has announced that Algeria has started the construction of a USD 3 billion-worth oil refinery in Biskra, south-east of Algiers.
- Mr Youcef Yousfi said that the oil refinery underway would have an annual output capacity of 5 million tons.
- He added that 600 permanent jobs were expected to be created as part of this ambitious project, in addition to other enticing job opportunities.

It is worth noting that the projected refinery is slated to produce in the near future 500,000 tons of benzene, 220,000 tons of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) and 169,000 tons of kerosene.
