Over 630.000 candidates for the examinations of the primary phase are bracing to sit for their exam, including 1.741 pupils from private schools and 126 representing pupils with special needs.

Although the number of pupil candidates plummeted compared to last year, the nature of this year’s exam is different after the Ministry of Education decided last year to grant success to all the pupils even those who did not succeed in order to do away with the old system and to begin a new one.

The Ministry of Education devoted over 94.200 teachers in order to control the exams, and pupils will sit for their exams in 3.408 exam centres which will be monitored by 3908 observers scattered across all the national centres. Exam papers will be corrected by 10.000 teachers across 67 centres.
