120,000 policemen to ensure security during summer season in Algeria
General Directorate of the National Security deployed over 40,000 policemen at 54 control centres in 56 beaches under the security “Blue plan” to provide security during the summer season, as well as 80,000 policemen at the national level to secure the coastal tourist sites and places of entertainment, leisure and festivals, particularly the Second Pan African Cultural Festival which will be hosted by Algeria between 5 and 20 July.

According to the police commander, Madjid Sadi, the general directorate of the national security deployed all the human and material resources in order to ensuresecurity the summer season”.

“The number of police stations to control the security of beaches was hiked to reach 54 centres, with the recruitment of 1500 policemen scattered over these stations, including policewomen”, he told Echorouk.

40,000 policemen were deployed from different security services in 14 coastal localities, and will be involved in the launching of the “blue plan” on June 21.
