14 thousand “BAC” laureates haven’t secured any of their 10 orientation wishes

The Minister of higher education, Tahar Hadjar, revealed at a press conference on Tuesday devoted to the announcement of the results of University access registrations that 56 percent of Baccalaureate laureates had secured their first orientation study wish expressed by the latter in their enrolment forms.

He said, however that 4 percent other students hadn’t unfortunately fulfilled any of their 10 orientation  university study wishes or a total of 14 thousand who have been left frustrated of not being able to choose their preferred line of studies at University.

Mr Tahar Hajjar said during this press conference devoted to the announcement of the results of the orientation process for the 2015 Baccalaureate exam session  that the results of automatic processing of the students’ wish lists had revealed that 56  percent of them were successful in obtaining their first orientation study wish, that is a total of 358,129 students.

Notwithstanding, the higher education Minister highlighted the possibility of appeals for this category of future students in line with the published ministerial regulations starting from Tuesday 28 until 30 July 2015.

Mr Hadjar further indicated that the expected number of new students having access to University would reach around a million and half million for the academic year 2015-2016.
