25% Salary Increases For Doctors Who Contribute To Hospitals’ Twinning

The Government has set the conditions on how to implement twinning between public health institutions and the level of bonus allowances which will benefit medical practitioners as well as the paramedical staff and midwives involved in this commendable endeavor.

Under an executive decree, signed by the Prime Minister Abdelmalek Sellal, and published in the latest issue of the Official Gazette, the move concerns the twinning of public health institutions located in the southern and high plateaus with those of the north of the country in the context of medical and scientific assistance and training through proper agreements.

The relevant decree defines the type of Convention and the listing of hospital institutions of public health concerned by the decision of the minister in charge of health, population and hospital reform.

This salutary move which will surely be hailed by the medical staff involved owing to the financial incentives, will ease the heavy burden on the citizens living in the remote parts of Algeria by allowing them easy access in their own areas of residence to proper medical care and surgery as part of this major hospitals’ twinning operation.
