30 pilgrims living with chronic diseases excluded by the NOHU

The National Office of Hadj and Umrah excluded, until Tuesday, and by medical committees in 37 localities, more than 30 Algerian pilgrims, because of their chronic illnesses, as work is underway in 11 localities.

  • Sheikh Barbara, General-Director of the National Office for Hadj and Umrah told Echorouk that the local medical committees excluded 30 pilgrims who had succeeded in drawing lots, after the medical examination found that they live with chronic illness and may cause serious complications during their presence in Saudi Arabia.

  • Barbara said the medical committees identified three chronic diseases which are acute renal failure, incidence of cancer and diabetes, as well as preventing pregnant women from traveling.

  • “The work includes about 37 localities, pending the completion of the process in another 11 regions in the next few days to meet the final number of pilgrims who are not allowed to perform the Hadj (Pilgrimage) this year.
