340 thousand Algerians secured a French visa in 2016

The French Ambassador in Algeria, his Excellency Mr. Bernard Emié, has revealed that Algerians obtained a total of 340 thousand visas in 2016 for France, the largest proportion of registrations recorded in the world.

He added that no other country worldwide has secured such a high  amount of visas, stressing that this is due to the nature of the historical, economic and political relations between Algeria and France.

The French Ambassador, stated on Wednesday, on the sidelines of a ceremony for the laying of the foundation stone of the manufacturing unit of “Renault and Volvo” trucks in the town of Meftah in Blida province, that France is the largest investor in the field of assembling  of cars and trucks in Algeria, with on focus the Oued Tlélat car-assembling plant in Oran, which is the first of the kind in Algeria.

Mr Bernard Emié also announced by the same token the planned opening in Algeria of other French automobile assembling factories in the very near future.
