Services of the National Gendarmerie in Annaba, east of Algeria, arrested Tuesday a group of 15 Algerian youngsters, between 23 and 27 years old, who were intending to become illegal immigrants, nine of them from Algiers and the rest from Annaba.

• This brings the total number of illegal immigrants who were arrested in Annaba and Taref, east of Algeria to 444, a number that is expected to rise in the future.

• Life of the Sheikh (old man) “Ettaher.B” carries a lot of things; he was like other elderly in Annaba, east of Algeria, sitting in a cafeteria, after the morning wandering around the streets with his friends, who speak about the Umrah (pilgrimage) that is organized in the agencies during Ramadan.
• No one in the city would image that this old man will become an illegal immigrant on that day accompanied by 21 youngsters from Annaba, Constantine and Algiers, neglecting his health conditions and age. He would rather become a resident in Italy or dead if they did not arrest him.
• Ancle Ettaher was arrested with those illegal immigrants, he was calm and he said “I want to go to Italy, I want to see my children”.
• He wants to join his five children who have been  living in Italy for many years, after he failed to get a visa from the Italian and French embassies, that’s why he resorted to illegal immigration.
