Algeria Telecom Company launched officially the 4G internet services for the land-lines using the LTO technology, which will open up prospects for Algerians in villages and country sides, where they can connect with high-speed Internet in the context of what is known as broadband, as simpler villages in Algeria will be able to receive high flow of Internet with 150 Mbps per second.

Algeria Telecom launched this new technology after the completion of the process of deploying its own network equipment and antennas for signal known as the LTO network, which will allow subscribers to connect quickly on Internet and download videos with high precision and download huge files very quickly.

According to informed sources from Algeria Telecom, this all comes within the company’s strategic plan to conquer the 3G services in relation to the mobile phone operators, as this technology will be directed in the first stage to the big cities, that did not notice the 3G launch like Jijel and Bordj Bouariridj, for example, and isolated areas and rural cities.

An expert in the field of Communications, Younes Karrar, told Echorouk that this wireless technology depends on the removal of wires and lines, as is the case for land-lines, as antennas for the signal that transmitted frequencies will be installed, in particular to prevent signals from being interrupted and provide high quality service, that is enough for subscribers to place a modem device in the home to take advantage of this technology.
