6 Pensions' Fund senior employees at the core of financial scandal

Six employees including top managers working at the war veterans department and the pensions’ fund in the province of Annaba (eastern Algeria) were involved in a financial scandal that caused a loss estimated at 2.2 hundred thousand Euros will appear before in court on charges of money embezzlement, swindling at the detriment of 20 individuals, reliable sources revealed.

• The culprits are charged for the use of official documents including war veterans IDs that have issued for 20 fake veterans causing huge loses to the treasury’s fund. The scandal was unravelled by the pensions’ fund manager on June 11 2006.
•  Investigations launched by the administration put the veil off the main culprits counting an employee at the veterans’ department, another one from a national company alongside other accomplices from the pensions’ fund while another one is still at large.
