We are in a war state and will not step back, says Prime Minister
Algerian Prime Minister Abdelmalek Sellal described the economic situation in the country as a « war state » which does not allow its armies to step back.
“Algerian businessmen and investors have to stand by the side of their country to refresh the economic situation. An economic base should be set up to ensure exporting after reaching self-sufficiency. The government is attached to the housing support program as part of social support policy regardless the country’s financial situation,” said Sellal on Wednesday.
“The government continues its war to achieve its economic goals. The difficult financial situation had an impact on the country’s total revenues. Yet, the government insists on reaching the economic goals relying on the agricultural and industrial sectors,” he added.
On a working visit to the province of Annaba, Sellal called on investors and businessmen to focus on exporting. He gave instructions to transport sector to create infrastructures to ensure supervision in all the ports and airports.
He announced that 8,000 houses will be distributed in Algiers before the fasting month of Ramadan as part of the AADL housing program.
