Sarkozy planned to violate Evian accords

Patrick Buisson, the advisor of France’s former President Nicolas Sarkozy convinced him to criticize Evian accords and deprive Algerians of the 1968 immigration law advantages, according to a new book published by two journalists at Le Monde newspaper.

Ariane Chemin and Vanessa Schneider say Sarkozy planned to criticize Evian accords during his electoral campaign for the second round of 2012’s presidential elections.

According to the same source, Sarkozy was influenced by his advisor Buisson.

The French President promised to talk about the issue during a TV show on France 2 channel on April 26^th in 2012. Yet, he changed his decision in the last minute.
