President Bouteflika leaves Grenoble Alembert Clinic

President Abdelaziz Bouteflika left the private hospital in Grenoble, AFP said on Saturday.

It also confirmed that his stay in the Alembert clinic did not exceed two nights.

AFP quoted local sources as saying that the plane of Algeria Presidency of the Republic left Grenoble airport within one hour and a half in the afternoon, as the Algerian presidency kept silence and did not issue any statement that refutes the information that was leaked to theFrench media from French government sources, from within the hospital, as it did neither announce his departure from the Algerian territorynor his return.

According to the website of local daily French newspaper “Le Dauphiné Libéré”, which was first to announce the news of the presence ofPresident Bouteflika in the French clinic.

President Bouteflika left the Alembert clinic on Saturday noon, and the website published pictures of the motorcade which took the president from the hospital to Grenoble airport.

Some French television channels showed video recordings of the motorcade of President Bouteflika from its beginning, as he left the hospital, even if there was no assurance that confirm that it was specifically President Bouteflika’s motorcade, but all indications confirmthat it was the parade of person with a high degree of importance, and under tight security cover, the motorcade was led by threemotorcycles to the French police, with six cars form along with the ambulance.

For its part, the French news agency, AFP quoted its cameraman, who moved to Grenoble airport, as saying that the President Bouteflikawas on board of his own plane, and the motorcade which lef the hospital was in the airport, and also confirmed that the plane left the French soil and returned Algeria.

French media were unable to elicit any statement from the private clinic administration where President Bouteflika stayed two days, but Reuters bureau quoted, on Saturday morning, private  sources as saying that the presence of President Bouteflika in the clinic since Thursday was programmed for routine medical tests, and he chose this clinic precisely, because the doctor who oversaw his treatment aftersuffering a stroke in April 2013, moved to work in this clinic, which devoted a full flour for the treatment of political figures.

President Bouteflika left the French clinic, according to observers, because it is just a date for routine medical tests, but the official dealing with the file of “the president’s illness” raises criticism of national public opinion and the citizens who elected the president.

This “absence” of networking and communication, is the cause that provided a fertile ground for the French and foreign media, to invest insuch news, and make of the Algerians “hostages” of western and Arab video news, that are often used when it comes to the issue ofAlgeria, away from professionalism.
