Crisis that is experienced by the country is due to the absence of democratic practices by the authority, and not activating the role of regulatory institutions on the performance of government, and spread of corruption, Coordination of Democratic Transition said.
“Forming a consensual government and constitution, and keeping the elections away from the Interior Ministry’s tutelage, and assigning it to an independent body, is one of the solutions that can be invoked to bypass the country’s problems.”
“Coordination is in the final version of the democratic transition, which it decided to show to the Algerians, confirms that its initiative is the fruit of a serious dialogue between the political and social forces that are concerned with democratization, and in order to reach national reconciliation that includes the opposition and the authority and establishes the framework of a democratic transition until the embodiment and the election of democratic institutions within the rules that will be adopted unanimously.”
It is clear through the document that the owners of the initiative use of the dialogue with the authority a means to ensure the success of their project, which came to save the country from a dangerous and complex crisis that may destroy its unity, sovereignty and omit the rest of the cohesion of its institutions, because the ground is a step on the road to contain the multidimensional crisis, which threatens the nation, through the organization of a democratic transition that allows everybody to contribute to the establishment of legitimate and credible institutions, to bring our country into a new era that is characterized by democratic governance of institutions and the peaceful transfer of power through the free, fair and legal ballot.
In this regard, the coordination is presenting a set of principles asking for the required compatibility, beginning with the adherence to a the statement of November 1st, as a frame of reference for the Algerian state, and the republican nature of the state, and the preservation of national unity and social harmony, and the rejection of violence in all its forms in political action, and the embodiment of the principle of consensus, dialogue and negotiation in achieving the democratic transition, and to be public morality in the construction of the democratic transition, and refusing the foreign intervention, and the urbanization of the political system by clearing the military and security institution from the political affinities, and dedicate more time to its constitutional duties in protecting the national unity and integrity of the national territory, and ensure the unity and indivisibility.
