Parliamentary group of Algeria Green Bloc announced on boycotting the ceremony of Bouteflika’s Constitutional Oath, claiming that it supports the opposition’s decision to boycott the electoral farce, which noticed abhorrent regionalism and narrow loyalty, and the dangerous deviation of the campaign.

Green bloc MPs said the boycott is due to the failure of the power to explore the presidential elections in order to achieve the political reform and real change, due to the violations that occurred during the elections, verbal and physical violence, and competition that did not respect this political date, reaching threats against citizens and playing on its stability and security, then inflating the rate of participation and the results that are neither reliable nor recognized.

Parliamentary group added that the boycott decision was also taken based on fears of going to the unknown in conducting the state’s institutions, and lessons of constitution and law, which deepened corruption and leads to more failure in development, in addition to procrastination in answering the opposition’s calls for change and democratic transition, and the regime’s attempt to monopolize the sensitive and important decisions, such as amending the constitution away of deepening and widening consensus on it.

For its part, parliamentary group of the Front for Justice and development announced on boycotting the ceremony of Bouteflika’s constitutional oath, claiming the insistence of the President’s agents to waste the nation’s time in what it calls, an electoral play, and a violent aggression against the constitution, to impose power, and extend the President’s period of governance, despite that the human nature refuse his continuation, and intransigence of authority to continue forgery, deception and imposed a distorted electoral process, and insisting on corrupting the political practice, especially the elections, and deviation from the elections’ path, which is no more a cause of stability and a way to express the popular sovereignty.
