25 Algerian Illegal Immigrants Escape from a Spanish Detention Center

25 Algerian illegal immigrants escaped in a strange way from a very strict detention in Murcia, southern Spain, where they launched a collective insurgency and escape, during which they left four wounded policemen, before they escaped by jumping from the top of a barbed wire, expressing their protest and refusal following their deportation to another detention, in awaiting their deportation to Algeria.

The Spanish News Agency “EFE” quoted a source from the Spanish police as saying that the incident occurred on Sunday night, when about 30 Algerians inside a detention for illegal immigrants attacked four policemen who were securing the place, after they arrived in Murcia on board their boats, usong bottles of fire ‬extinguish and water pipes, and everything‬ they found ‭in their way, ‭causing ‭dangerous injuries ‬among the policemen‭. ‬

The 25 Algerians were able to flee out of the detention, after they jumped from a barbed fence of 4 meters high, but the Spanish National Police arrested 15 of them on the outskirts of the city Murcia, while 10 others are still in escape and hide in the nearby woods, where police is still searching for them.

The same sources said the process of collective rebellion came after the authorities decided to deport the Algerian illegal immigrants to another detention in the Spanish island “Algeciras”, which does not contain rooms, but a large hall for everyone, awaiting their permanent deportation to Algeria, after they arrived in Murcia on the last June 9 on board of small boats ‭. ‬
