Criminal Breakdown Service Trucks Pour Oil On Roads, Provoke Deadly Accidents

Some breakdown service operators tend to pour oil and lubricants, deliberately, on the roads as to provoke traffic accidents, and ultimately force the victim drivers to resort to their services. It is the devil side of the breakdown service.

In fact, a victim driver told his story to Echorouk reporter, saying he once crashed on another car, after he lost control on his vehicle, though he was running at 70 km/h. He said, as soon as he hit the adjacent car, a recovery truck parked near him for “help.”

He further indicated that he felt that the accident was provoked by this same breakdown service agent, “and immediately filed a complaint to police, who concluded that it was that agent who poured on lubricant to make the road greasy and slippery.”

This is one of hundred stories of road accident victims who became handicapped, or even lost their lives, because of vicious greedy breakdown service operators.

In this regard, security services have recorded more than 150 complaints in 2011 filed by drivers who believed that they lost control of their vehicles in turnings and slopes because of lubricant poured on the road to make it greasy.

A source familiar with the issue, said there are more than 5000 breakdown service tracks in Algeria, some of which tend to use devil tricks to gain more money; and sometimes on the expanse of the driver lives.

The source mentioned that the ill-conscious breakdown service operators, generally, resort to cities and countryside areas to set up their devil plans, where the victim drivers are forced to pay the highest price to get his car tracked for repair.

They avoid, however, highways and roads which are controlled with cameras, the source said, adding that some operators tend to put dead animals in low lighted roads, where drivers pass by speedily, and causing, thus, deadly accidents.
