Sudan’s separation will affect Egyptian national security

Abdullah Al-Ashaal, a former assistant to the Egyptian foreign minister believes that the situation in Egypt may explode more than what happened in Tunisia. “There is a well-known Zionist plan to establish Great Middle East to reach the big Jewish objective,” he told Echorouk in an interview.

Do you expect that Egypt would experience events similar to those in Tunisia?

That may happen. In Egypt, there are five issues which may lead to explosion in the local situation:

1-   Economic crisis, unemployment and corruption. Egypt is divided in rich category and very poor one.

2-   The absence of real democracy. That was clear in the last elections which were characterised by fraud and a large exclusion of the main opposition powers.

3-   Inheritance power endeavour. It is rejected by opposition and people in Egypt.

4-   Failure in treating sectarian conflicts between Muslims and Copts.

5-   Egypt’s weak nationalist role which led to separate Sudan.

Don’t you believe that what is happening in Egypt and the Arab region is part of the Zionist plan to hit the Arab world?

Absolutely. This plan aims at dividing the Arab world into small states. It works on dividing Egypt into three small states: a Muslim one in the north, a Christian one in the south and a state in Al Nouba. If Egypt does not treat the five issues, the situation will explode between Muslims and Christians and between the rich and the poor.

How do you explain the reject of some big nations like France to receive the Tunisian president though he was Sarkozy’s friend?

France does not want to loose the Tunisian people to satisfy Ben Ali. That may be a lesson to the Arab rulers. Western regimes care for their interests only. I do not understand why Saudi Arabia received corrupted Ben Ali while it respects the Islamic Sharia.

What do you think the solution is?

I advise the political commandment to form a national salvation government of members out of the ruling party.

What do you think the dangers of the separation of Sudan?

The separation of Sudan is the Zionist plan fruit which will touch the rest of the Arab countries. The conspiracy got clearer when vice president and vice president of the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement said the new state will be opened to all the nations including Israel. Israel wants to dominate the south and affect Egypt’s share of water.

But the Egyptian irrigation minister said Egypt’s share of water will not be affected by the separation.

Those statements are ironic. There is a danger on Egypt’s share of water. Time will show that.
