Seciurity services to combat terrorism in Bordj Bouariridj, east of Algiers, dismantled a back up cell consisting of 12 persons, active downtown and outside the town, informed sources told Echorouk.

• According to the same sources, the process followed investigations by the security services following the terrorist attack which targeted the army convoy in El Mansoura, in Bordj Bouariridj, killing 24 gendarmes.

• A suspect person was arrested, he revealed, during the investigation, on the names of the rest of the terrorists, who aged between 30 and 50 years, one of them was also arrested in Ras Eloued owning a firearm.

• During the investigation the arrested reveal on the name of their fellows, who have been assigned the task of supplying terrorist groups, and monitor the movements of the security forces at the national road n° 5.

• This security process would put an end to the activity of one of the most dangerous terrorist back up cells, as the accused have been transferred before justice on charges of supporting and terrorist groups and owning firearms without a license.
