A Chinese company completed fake buildings in Algeria

Echorouk obtained the documents of the most dangerous scandal by a Chinese company which won large housing projects in various regions of Algeria, as the first details of the scandal have been exposed a few weeks ago, following a report by experts which summarizes the results of the experience on samples of two towers of the total houses of ADL in Beni Messous in Algiers, raising the question on the status of the rest of the projects of these Chinese company in Algeria and which exceed 20.000 houses, including completed and under achievement. 

• Details of the scandal back, according to information about the ongoing security investigation at the projects site, when the architect in charge of the follow-up of the works refused to sign affirmatively on the projects of two towers due to some imbalances in the criteria and the amounts of the materials that have been used in the two towers.
• The architect asked the supervisors of the works, including the Chinese project’s officials, to prepare a report that confirms or denies its technical sides. The Chinese company already sent a request to the central laboratory of public works in order to conduct a report.
• The results of the tests on samples taken from the concrete of three building shows that they are below the minimum for the required resistance, classifying them in the category of the collapsing buildings under any natural factor.
• Representatives of the Chinese company did not accept the results of the technical expertise by the laboratory for considerations relating to the costs of demolition and re-completion, as well as causing the delay of the implementation deadlines that may double the losses, according to the texts of the book of the deal’s terms.
• The Chinese company involved in the scandal completed many residential projects and are launching other projects at present, thing which make people wonder whether similar mistakes had been committed and covered-up, particularly since there are fifty projects, the equivalent of 25.000 houses, as well as public works projects in Ain Defla, Ain Ouassara, Djelfa, west of Algiers, and in Algiers, including schools, dams, reservoirs, as the Chinese company completed the Sheraton hotel and other important projects.
