A Delegation From The National Railway Transport Company Visits Mauritania
The Director General of the National Railway Transport Company (SNTF), Mr Aj Bououni, on Sunday, paid a field visit to the various stations and structures associated with the mining line “Zouérat – Nouadhibou” in Mauritania, accompanied by the company’s executives, as part of the preparations for the future exploitation of the mining line “Bechar – Tindouf – Ghar Djebilet”.
According to a statement by the company, the first destination was the unloading station for mining materials at the port designated for receiving heavy trains, with a capacity of 250 wagons designated for export. The delegation received explanations about the automatic recycling technology (“culbutage”) used in unloading wagons.
The delegation was briefed on the developments achieved by the Mauritanian company SNIM in improving the efficiency of transport and export by investing in new equipment and methods, which helped shorten deadlines and improve performance.
The visit ended with learning about the capabilities of the Mauritanian company in the field of locomotive and wagon maintenance, which enhances the exchange of expertise between the two companies.
