A Moroccan Royal Army Officer involved in supporting terrorism in Algeria
Algiers criminal court declared Monday “B.H†a former member of the FIS not guilty in the case of organizing a criminal gang and assault against the government as well conspiracy to deploy murders, destruction of properties and organizing armed gangs to disturb the order of the state and unity of the nation.
-
The accused was also involved in joining terrorist groups. In 1997 the criminal court sentenced him to guillotine in absentia for the same case in which 83 accused, mostly sentenced to 5 years prison, while the current accused was in Italy. He has been arrested in 2008 in Houari Boumedien airport in Algiers where he filled a demand to take advantage of the national reconciliation.

“B.R”, the accused brother, complied Wednesday before Algiers criminal court neglecting all the dangerous charges saying that his brother belonged to the FIS and that he had no relation with this movement, neglecting his involvement in the party during the nineties.

After the cancellation of the elections in 1992 he was arrested together with his two brothers for investigation. He decided to move to Italy just after his release and lived there, where he married, now he has fine children.

-
According to the order of transfer, he returned back to the FIS activity in 1994, after calling an Algerian offering him the representation of executive body of the movement and publication of inflammatory statements which were made by the “Islamic Army of Salvation” (FIS) abroad.
-
-
Statements were sent to him via fax from Algeria. He was also active in the mosques there. He issued a magazine containing information about the terrorist attacks in Algeria. He was detained in 1995 by the Italian authorities. He worked in translation, nursing and custody when he went out of the prison.

-
Once he heard about the new measures, the accused approached the Algerian embassy in order to benefit from the national reconciliation. After being transferred to the centre of immigration by the Italian authorities, he was arrested in Houari Boumediene airport in Algiers last year, and was transferred to justice.
-
-
However, the accused “B.H” maintained full denial of all the facts, in return witnesses who attended the hearing confirmed that his brother was the real activist with the FIS movement.
-
-
What is surprising in this case and according to the decision of transfer a Moroccan officer from the royal army was belonging to terrorist groups in Algeria during the nineties and he attended terrorists’ meetings. He also recruited people who went to mosques and disseminated the Jihad ideology in their minds.

-
The surprising facts about the Moroccan royal officer were cited by a policeman who was active in terrorist groups in the nineties and who surrendered a few years ago.

Previously the general attorney sought the accused “B.H” death. But after the deliberations the criminal court declared him not guilty.
