The so called « L.Samir » terrorist who had long been wanted by the Algerian security services, and one of the most prominent suicide bombers, surrendered, last week end in Batna, east of Algeria, confirmed sources told Echorouk.

Information, available to Echorouk, said the terrorist comes from Oran, west of Algeria, and joined the terrorist group GSPC, under the leadership of Abdelmalek Droudkel (Abou Mosaab Abdelouadoud) by the end of 2006.

A search warrant was issues against him on charges of joining a terrorist group that terrorises the civilians, before the security investigation discovered thatr he was recruited in “Al Maout” “death” battalion at the former sixth region, under the leadership of Abou Raouaha, the mastermind to assassinate president Bouteflika. Previously, this region was transferred to the Eastern region under the leadership of the so called Mohamed Abou Salah, new leader of the east.

The general directorate of the national security recently, sent a list of 53 terrorists, consisting of their identities and pictures to all the security centres, particularly, east of Algeria, as they are classified as among the most dangerous suicide bombers from Algiers, Boumerdes, Constantine, Skikda,(east) and Oran, Msila (west) and Biskra (south of Algeria).
