Abderrahman Mebtoul: “Government Should Choose either Structural Reforms or Resort to IMF”

Government is obliged today to avoid repeating the nineties scenarios and move away from a return to borrowing from the IMF, Independent Advisor and contributor in the new economic model’s proposals, Abderrahmane Mebtoul, said.

 “This can only come through new structural reforms, which is contained in the economic model that is presented to the Prime Minister, and which contains more than 80 pages.”

“New economic model focused on two consecutive terms, the first in the short term period from 2016 to 2019 and the second from 2020 to 2030, which contains the proposals in 80 pages. Despite the absence of details during a previous meeting with the tripartite, which is devoted to the study of three topics, including retirement and facilities of investment and the new economic model, and which is expected to be presented in the coming days through the joint ministerial meetings.”
