“Al Azhar” scholar brands Algerians as “miscreants”

The Algerians have lost their religion after losing their mind for a football match that will lead them to disarray, the cursed Algeria squad, this team that includes criminals… After the win of those underdeveloped in the match and fulfilled their dream to reach the world Cup, that they will never win even in the dreams of their president, and will be trounced in the first matches because they are the shame of sport and sportsmen”.

  • These unspeakable words were not uttered by a teenager or a zealous media professional, but by one of the most outstanding religious “scholar” in “Al Azhar”, Abdellah Anedjar who wrote these vicious and vile sentences in his daily chronicle “ Koran and Sunna”, released by the daily state run newspaper “Al Jamhouria” three days after the visit of Israeli president Shimon Perez to Cairo.
  • In the article that he wrote on the first and the second day of the Muslim Aid Al-Adha, the scholar has called on the International football Association (FIFA) and the international community alike to “punish” Algeria.
  • It is not unusual that Egyptians treat us of heresy because they are the source of various “Fetwas” (religious preaches) that led to bloodshed in Algeria and we are still repairing its aftermath, but the astounding thing is that the declaration comes out from an institution built by Algerians and equipped it to become a castle for the spread of Islam and keep away its foes.
  • The scholar didn’t bring any evidence in the sacred text or other sources to consolidate his arguments, unless he based his argumentation on the testimonies given by the “cabaret dancers” like Fifi Abdou and her friends.
  • The unworthy scholar spat his venom on the face of the Algeria and its people to an extent that he wished them to lose their matches “ They will be trounced in the first matches because they are undeserving of being sportsmen”.
  • Now the question is how come that a scholar that treats the Algerian people of “underdeveloped” because Algerian footballers defeated the Egyptians;  gives lectures to students at the institute that was built by the same backwards?
