“I will be ready for World Cup,†says Bouazza
Algeria and Blackpool’s striker Amer Bouazza said he is ready to join the national players’ training due to be held in Switzerland ahead of the World Cup.
-
You are the fourth Algerian player under treatment in Qatar.
-
-
When I was injured, the head of the Algerian Football Federation (FAF) Mohamed Raouraoua called me and asked me to prepare myself to go to Qatar for treatment. I am now in a medical centre where I found Bouguerra, Belhadj and Meghni.
-
-
How long will stay in the centre?
-
-
I will be there for 10 days but I can stay more. It depends on the treatment results. Meghni will leave on Friday.
-
-
-
Are you afraid that you may not play in the World Cup?
-
-
What I do care for at present is my treatment. I think I could play in the World Cup. I am keen to do that because our biggest interest is to be brilliant with Algeria.
-
-
-
Your name is in the list of the players who are expected to attend the training.
-
-
I think I did not leave the team neither was I banned. The point is that I could not play the friendly match against Serbia because of injury. When I recover, I will be ready to attend the training. We will do our best to be ready for the World Cup and bring joy to the Algerian people.
