African Cup: Algeria may change playing way

Algeria’s national football coach Rabeh Saadane said he may make some changes to his team as some players can be absent. “As some players have defected, our way of playing may change. I asked my elements to know how to run the match in a way that humidity and heat can not have an impact on them.”

• “Victory in the first match against Malawi is important. It will open doors to qualify to the second round of the African Cup,” he told reporters.

• He believes that Malawi is one of the 16 best African teams. “We noticed that he applied a defensive plan but we know what is waiting for us.”

• He added that Malawi’s players are used to heat and humidity. “That means we should get used to such an atmosphere as quick as possible. My elements started feeling the burden of those two factors. I hope they will get used to them before the match.”
