African illegal immigrants export eight killer diseases to Algerians
Doctors of Military Health warned of the dangers caused by the exodus of illegal migrants coming from 23 African countries to Algeria, especially after Libya and Mali events, and the consequences of refugees flow making the danger exceeds arms and drugs leakage, to reach infectious diseases that are transmitted by more than 9000 illegal immigrants annually to Algerians , and 30.000 refugees,
Those diseases are classified as dangerous such as AIDS, Malaria and hepatitis.
Maj.Gen Cherif Abderrezak, commender of the fourth military region , said during supervision on the opening of the activities of the medical media day of the national gendarmerie in Ouergla, southern Algeria, on Tuesday, that the situation in the Sahel region, produced serious results including epidemiological risks, as Mali and Niger represent the source of epidemiological cases in Algeria, such as the malaria with 90%.
“Recognition of the technics and measures to conduct such cases, is a decisive factor in conducting the risks of epidemics in the south, through generalising the new international classification of diseases “CIM 10” on the gendarmerie doctors, pending for adoption in the national armed forces in the future.
For his part, commender of the fourth military region of gendarmerie in Ouergla, Colonel Abdelhafid Abdaoui, said; “The region noticed large campaigns of refugees due to the regional situation, which represents a danger on the Public health, and health of gendarmes and soldiers, which needs discussion on the ways to conduct the dangers of the future epidemics.
Head of the central service of health at the gendarmerie leadership, colonel Abdelkrim Djebaili, said that the gendarmerie units recorded during the last three years, 15.000 illegal immigrants, and in 2012 they recorded 1733 cases which resulted in the arrest of 3642 people, including 107 women, while the same services recorded during the four months of 2013 over 697 cases.
As for the map that is used by those illegal immigrants, considering that the movement of Algeria from a transit centre for them to a settlement centre, is highlighted by the intense presence of Africans and Chinese in regions like Ghardaia, Ouergla, Tamenraset and Algiers.
Services of the national gendarmerie identified them as follows: Starting from Mali via Tinzawtine, Timsaw, Abesla, Ghardaia, Menia, Ain Saleh and Telemcen then Algiers, or starting from Nigeria via Asmakha then Ain Guezzam and Kaa Rat Nass reaching Tamenraset, Ghardaia, El Menia, Ain Saleh, Telemcen and Algiers.
The third map was identified by the same services, starting from Abou Dabi, then Kenya via Libya reaching Maghnia then Illizi and finally Spain.
Local reports speak about the frightening spread of aids among immigrants which came to Algeria from African and Asian countries in the last years, as many of them need medical framing which makes HIV out of control by public health especially among youth.
