After The French, English Experts To Participate In Education Reforms
National Education Minister, Nouria Ben Ghabrit, supervised, from the state of Illizi (Southern Algeria), on the official start of the exams of the primary education certificate, and confirmed that there is no change in the topics, and that would start next season, when the application of the new curriculum, which is ensured by the National Committee for Curricula.
Ben Ghabrit told media that for the first time there is the realization of the opening of more than 12,000 Centres, which was considered a qualitative leap in the sector, where the pupils sit for the exams in the same institution where they study, which is reflected positively on their psyche and the performance, and also confirmed that this year’s prerequisite examination will not be conducted, because it costs the state additional expenses without achieving tangible results in the success rates.
Ben Ghabrit acknowledged, in her meeting with the sector’s frames, the arrival of foreign experts in rewriting the curriculum process, but their work was limited to the training in the leadership of the project only, and not in the formulation of the curriculum, and asserted the need in this contribution, adding that the arrival of foreign experts, was in accordance with the agreements that were concluded by the Foreign Ministry in the framework of cooperation in various fields, stressing that this process is not confidential and anyone in this procedure, because the national identity is preserved, and the exchange of expertise in all sectors, so that it has an exclusive interview with the English experts next Wednesday.
Concerning the measures that were taken to curb the phenomenon of cheating, Ben Ghabrit confirmed that the ministry is counting on the help of the pupils’ parents in the fight against the phenomenon, after encouraging their kids and granting them more than a mobile phone, or even helping them to access to various means of fraud, which it was described as not moral, threatening to dismiss anyone who uses a mobile phone inside the room with five years of systematic education, and ten years for the Liberals, stressing the role of parents in helping the ministry to conduct exams that are free from fraud, to ensure greater credibility as a witness, and it is not only the commitment of the actors at all levels, adding that there are professors and administrators who are complicit in the process of fraud, and punitive action will be against them.
