Ahmadiya School To Recruit Kids Eastern Algeria

The dismantling of an Ahmadiyya cell in Oum al-Bawaki (eastern Algeria), during last week, revealed on some interesting facts, including the group’s efforts to establish a school to learn the principles of the community for kids, as the detainees, including the coordinator of the community in the east, also had extensive activities, including national meetings which were held in one of the building’s basement.

At the week end, members of the State Department of the Judicial Police of Oum al-Bawaki (eastern Algeria), arrested the regional coordinator of the Ahmadiyya Qadianiya sect in the east, and arrested seven other fellows, who represented the Executive Office of Ahmadiyah.

Echorouk sources revealed that the merits of the case dated back to the last few months, when the same services received confirmed information that there is a group of Ahmadiyya sect that is operating in a secret manner in the city of Ain Melilla (eastern Algeria).

The concerned authorities started their investigations, and they were able to identify the suspects, including the Regional Coordinator for the East, where the suspicious places were raided after taking the necessary legal measures. 

The Regional Coordinator of Ahmadiya was arrested. He is called “K.Chaouki” who was born in 1971, a university graduate who works as an economist, in a midle school in ‘Ain Malila, and a man called “Abdel Hakim”, who is deputy regional coordinator, in addition to the state coordinator of the community “B.Ali” , an Inspector of Veterinary Medicine at the Directorate of Agriculture, “K. Abdul Razzaq”, an employee of a pharmacy and a printing press owner, and “A.G”, “Sh.Lh”, and the so called “Kh. Hamza”.

Security services seized computers, books, pamphlets, CDs of the Ahmadiyya, and pictures of the founder of the Ahmadiyya community Mirza Ahmed Ghulam, then they gave them to the investigating judge at Ain Malila primary court, which ordered their arrest on charges of offenses of possession and distributing of audio-visual leaflets and pamphlets of foreign origin and inspiration, for the purpose of propaganda that would harm the national interest and the security of the State, prejudice to religious beliefs and the stability of the country, the assault of the Prophet, peace be upon him, by mocking the knowledge of religion, and the rituals of Islam by declaring the establishment of a religious association without a license from the legally qualified authorities, the organization of a religious event without a license, incitement and the use of means of seduction to induce a Muslim to change the religion, collecting donations and accepting gifts without a license, establishing a chapel and performing sermons inside unlicensed buildings.

Echorouk reliable sources revealed that the suspects held secret meetings that were attended by national figures and leaders of the sect. 

They also held prayers and speeches in a cellar in one of the buildings in secret, paid monthly subscriptions to the regional coordinator for sending them to London, as they determined contributions by calculations based on the monthly income of each participant.

Same sources also revealed that the Ahmadiyya sect in Ain Melilla was preparing to establish a preparatory school for learning their principles for children, and to seek to spread the ideas and beliefs of the sect to the new generations, in an attempt to expand in the region. 

It is worth mentioning that the operation of the security forces in uncovering the activity of the Ahmadiyya in the region has received great satisfaction from the residents of the region, especially that the state witnessed in the month of Ramadan, the activity of some Ahmadis in the streets of the city, and the establishment of seminars that intended to collect the largest number of citizens to merge with the community.
