Air Algerie reduces ticket price by 50 percent

CEO of Air Algerie Abdelouahid Bouabdellah said Friday Tamnrasset-Algiers ticket price will be reduced by 50 percent.

• “The reduction came upon recommendations from the president of the republic to make Algerian southern areas less isolated,” said Bouabdellah in an official ceremony.
• “The new measure will be granted to residents of Tamnrasset and areas very far from Algiers but they will not include businessmen and tourists,” he added.
• According to Air Algerie CEO, the company submitted a demand to the Algerian National Popular Army to recover facilities belonging to aviation sector. This endeavour is meant to extend the international airport of Tamnrasset.
• Bouabdellah said Tamnrasset airport will be a stop for aircrafts going to and from African countries. “It is part of involving the airport in the international air network.”
