Air Algerie transfers 3,000 additional employees
CEO of Air Algerie Mohamed Abdou Bouderbala said the airliner will set a new schedule to redistribute additional employees in new departments. Their number is estimated at 3,000 who do not actually practice their work.
“All the additional employees will be redistributed on new four departments to reach balance in the company. Recruitment is frozen and it is totally forbidden to open vacant jobs only for technical departments and pilots,” Bouderbala told Echorouk.
He announced that 300 pilots will be recruited to be added to 400 employed pilots. Of them, 150 are at Oxford Institute for training while 150 others will take the same courses soon.
He also said a new competition exam may be opened in 2016 as Air Algerie recruits 100 technicians every year.
“There is a need for recruiting pilots and technicians as the company buys new planes. Many of the employees did not go on vacation due to the lack of workers,” he added.
Air Algerie will buy 8 Boeing aircrafts this year. Four planes will be rent in Summer.
