Air Algérie: “Travellers Should Enter The Country That Grants Schengen Visa To Avoid Problems”

Air Algérie company confirmed on Tuesday that it informed its customers who have Schengen Visas about the need to travel in the first time towards the country that grants the Schengen Visa, to avoid any inconvenience that may result from the actions that are taken by the European Union.

“We inform the travellers about the arrangements that are included in Article 5, according to the instructions that are made by the National Department of Civil Aviation and Meteorology to inform the travellers about the arrangements that are contained in Article 5 of the regulation No. 810/2009 of the European Parliament and the Council which used a unified symbol uniform for visas. 

Air Algérie statement stipulates that the country which is member of the European Union which is authorized to examine the visa applications is the one that should be the first destination in the travel.

For this purpose Air Algérie company brings to the attention of its customers that the Schengen visa holders are forced to travel in the first time to the country that grants the visa to avoid any inconvenience on these actions.

EU statement did neither oppose nor refute the company’s remarks, but asserted the need to provide a justification to cross the Schengen space in the country of origin and key destination. 

In case of the absence of justification, the entry to Schengen Space can be refused by the services that are tasked with monitoring the border.
