Air Algerie: “Travellers Should Enter The Country Which Grants A Schengen Visa To Avoid Deportation”
Air Algerie company confirmed the instruction that was issued by the Directorate of Civil Aviation on the need for the traveller to enter the country that grants the “Schengen” visa before entering any other country in the European space in order to avoid any action against them from the country that does not grant them a visa.
Same company said that the statement of the European Union Mission in Algeria came to clarify the limits of Article 5 concerning the access to the “Schengen” space, and not to discredit the instructions that were issued by the Directorate of Civil Aviation.
Commercial Manager of Air Algérie, Houaoui Zohir, said that the statement that was issued recently regarding the commitment of Algerian travellers to enter the country that grants the Schengen visa first before entering any other country in the “Schengen” space, as this came after the Directorate of Civil Aviation received strict instructions by the civil aviation directorate to control the travel procedures to the Schengen space in order to avoid the deportation from the countries which did not grant Schengen Visas, and added that the large number of these incidents forced the Directorate of Civil Aviation notify Air Algérie about the procedures of Article 5.
“Air Algérie was forced to inform the travellers and guides them with awareness instructions, in order to avoid surprising them with the deportation procedure by the countries that do not grant a visa.
