Al-Aqsa Flood Continues in the Algerian Revolution Footsteps

Al-Aqsa Flood battle continues to struggle in the footsteps of the blessed Algerian revolution, the representative of the Islamic Resistance Movement “Hamas” in Algeria, Youssef Hamdane, said on Monday, marking the first anniversary of the military operation.

During a forum organized by the Movement for a Peaceful Society entitled “The Future of the Battle of the Flood of Al-Aqsa and its Regional Implications” at the party’s headquarters in Algiers, Hamdane stressed that “without the Battle of the Flood of Al-Aqsa on October 7, 2023, the Palestinian cause would have been forgotten and neglected”.

The Hamas speaker in Algeria added that the “Zionist entity’s efforts to Judaize the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque and expand settlement outposts in the West Bank, and its ongoing crimes against Palestinian prisoners, as well as its failure to comply with international laws and conventions, prompted the Palestinian resistance to follow in the footsteps of the blessed Algerian revolution in the battle of sacrifice for freedom”.

Hamdane explained that “the courageous decision that was taken by the resistance on October 7, 2023, changed the course of history and continues to do so,” asserting that “the Palestinian cause has become the world’s first and central issue today.”
In the same context, he confirmed that the Palestinian people and their courageous resistance will continue no matter the cost, until victory and liberation are achieved, adding that “what was taken by force can only be regained by force.”

In turn, the General Manager of Al-Zaytouna Center for Consultations and Strategic Studies in Beirut (Lebanon), Dr Mohsen Mohammad Saleh, confirmed via visio-conference that the Battle of the Flood of Al-Aqsa has destroyed the lie of the invincible Zionist entity and broken its defences that it thought for years were invincible.

In his address, he explained that the heinous crimes committed by the Zionist occupation against the Palestinian people, targeting infrastructure and forced displacement “did not dampen the resolve of the Palestinian resistance which must not look back and continue the struggle for freedom.”

In this regard, he called on the international community and the entire Arab nation to fulfil their duties towards the Palestinian cause and the necessity of not being satisfied with speeches and condemnations and translating them into reality.

Furthermore, the head of the Movement for a Peaceful Society, Abdelaàli Hassani Cherif, said that what is happening today in Palestine and the Gaza Strip “does not concern the Palestinians alone, but rather is the issue of an entire nation and everyone must do their duty to defend it.”

Hassani added that Algeria went through many of the stations during the blessed revolution, which is reflected in the current Palestinian resistance, stressing that the Battle of the Flood of Al-Aqsa is the launching pad for the liberation battle.

In light of this, he praised the effective role played by Algeria since it occupied its non-permanent membership of the UN Security Council by defending the Palestinian cause and submitting draft resolutions to stop the Zionist violations and crimes against the Palestinian people.
