The national statistics office (ONS) has worked out a set of accurate and detailed questionnaires dealing with the living conditions of households and the state of housing as part of the 5th general census of the Algerian population.
This population census, which is to kick off on April 16, will last until the 29th of the same month.
About 70,000 census takers, most of them women, will be mobilised to this effect and a financial package of over 3 billion dinars has been earmarked to ensure the smooth running of this major operation.
The ONS questionnaires will sound out the Algerian families about their social and housing conditions as well on their employment prospects notably with regard to the youth who should not be left out as they constitute the largest segment of the Algerian society.
