Algeria army determined to eliminate terrorists

Algeria’s army renewed its commitment to continue fighting terrorism until it is totally eradicated in coordination with other security forces.

• “The army will continue facing the terrorist gangs until it destroys the misled groups and purify the noble land with Allah will,” the army chief of Staff General Gaid Saleh said in an official ceremony in Tipaza (west of Algiers) on Sunday.
• “All the human and physical means are mobilised as part to counter terrorism as the army is one of the bases on which Algeria relies to achieve economic, social, cultural, scientific and technological prosperity,” he added.
• He also said the army is aware about its role to reach that objective. “It will continue working on ensuring the legitimate right of the Algerian people in maintaining the safety of their country.”
• Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika attended the graduation ceremony at the military academy of various arms along with commanders of land, air and marine forces, commander of the National Gendarmerie, commander of the republican guards, police national chief, minister of war veterans and senior executives.
• In a previous meeting with his executives at the military academy of various arms, Gaid Saleh gave a set of instructions to the army’s officials including the strict implementation of the constitutional missions and the continuous fighting terrorism.
