Algeria/ Baccalaureate 2009:  45.04 % rate of success recorded

Well informed sources at the National Education Ministry have revealed to the newspaper Echorouk that the success rate of the June 2009 session of the Baccalaureate exam in Algeria has reached 45,04 %, that is 110.800 laureates out of 246.000 candidates.

 

 

 

 

  • For the first time in this exam’s history, the wilaya or province of Tizi Ouzou clinches the best success rate at the national level.
  • The province of Oran, for its part, gets the credit by counting among its laureates, a young female student Ikhlas who has secured the best average mark at the national level with 17.68.
  • In the provincial list, Tizi Ouzou comes first with a 58.99 % success rate, followed by Tipaza with 54.55 %.
  • Then comes Mascara with a rate of success of 51.30 % followed in the fourth slot by Bejaia with 50.17 %.
  • For its part, Algiers province declined compared with last year’s results.
  • This year’s success rate at the national level is deemed as low in comparison with last year when it reached over 53%.
