Algeria can get revolution archives from France
The French law which was promulgated in December 2006 does not exclude any country from reaching archives in France as long as they are relevant to it, said a senior official at the National Centre for the French Archives.

The centre was set up in 1966 and includes the archives of Algeria, French colonies in Africa, Vietnam and the Pacific Ocean along with French companies which used to operate in colonies.

It obtained 66 percent of the archives from various French ministerial departments as well as archives from the French navy in terms of the period before 1815.

The same centre receives 3,000 researchers from all around the world every year while the number of Algerian experts does not exceed 100, officials at the centre told Echorouk.

Researchers are allowed to take pictures of the archives whatever their nature. The centre started published the archived documents on the Internet with the possibility of booking any document.
